| Our Name | |
 | The name Faith Deliverance Family Worship Center Church of God in Christ has evolved under the direction of our past and present leadership. In 1966, when the Elder Lee H. Johnson founded the church, the name Faith Deliverance was given to him as inspired by the Holy Ghost. The late pastor Johnson epitomized the very nature of Faith and through his leadership and ministry many souls were delivered. |
| The Vision | |
 | GOD spoke to Pastor Harold L. Johnson Sr., one morning in May, 1994 and told him to get in his car and drive. With no questions asked, Pastor Johnson got in his car and began to drive. The Lord directed him to a dilapidated building at 3043 State Avenue and told him to drive around the building three times, because GOD SAID IT, the Pastor began to drive. The Lord told him to claim the 3043 State Avenue building, and because GOD SAID IT, Pastor Johnson claimed it. On May 4, 1994 he scribbled in his planner, "As we speak, the building at 3043 is being worked out and it won`t be long now". |
